I (Mrs Laird) had great fun today working with P4 to create new art pieces for the hall outside my office. I’m sure you will agree, the finished work is very effective and the children have created some lovely pieces.
We looked first at the colours created on Winter evenings and discussed how these change around a Winter moon. We then mixed paints to create the different colours. There were some great discoveries and fun in our colour mixing!
Once these were dry, we then looked carefully at the shapes of evergreen trees and used our brushes to create these in the foreground. The children used different techniques to achieve this. Finally, we used cotton buds to add snow to finish off our winter scenes.
The art work looks wonderful! Well done everyone 😊
